"My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at the Hawthorne house for almost a week and can't say enough about how perfect it was! Tahoe is always our favorite place to visit and now that we have found such an awesome place to stay, we can't wait for our next trip! From the moment we walked in we were amazed at how gorgeous it was and how comfortable it felt.

We had our family stay with us for the first night and spent the rest of the time alone so it accomodated both situations. We spent most of our time lounging in the huge backyard, cooking meals in the beautiful kitchen and enjoying the fireplace at night. Everything we needed was right there, and then some.

We will definitely be back and would (and have) recommend this place for other couples and/or families.

WHAT A GREAT VACATION AT THE HAWTHORNE HOUSE at
"Lower Kingsbury in South Lake Tahoe!!!!!!!! The location is perfect - just
minutes from everything and very accessible. The Hawthorne house was my
favorite vacation lodging ever! This home is very lovely and very
comfortable. All the ammenities were nice..TV, DVD, Stereo, Internet Access, Hot Tub, Critters, and very modern appliances and furnishings. The home is a vacation in itself.

The beds were so comfortable - slept better there than at home (I wanted to take the bed home for my vacation souviner!). The house was just the right size for a family with plenty of room for being together or having your own space. I especially enjoyed hopping out of bed into the Hot Tub for my
morning coffee. The backyard is so nice that I spent many hours just
relaxing out on the deck... I also found 3 spots outback that there was a
little lake view - very nice.

Don't hesitate - rent the HAWTHORNE House - you will be very pleased and the owners are very nice. I will rent this home again next trip to Tahoe. Don't forget your camera for all the suprise critter visitors!!"
